Why Sarah loves The Grange

26th July 2016

Scones5089retouchedI started at the Grange in 2013.

I lived in Supported Living on site until 2015 when I moved to The Grange’s Epsom house.

I make scones on a Tuesday morning as part of the Simply Scones team. I have invented a number of “Scone of the Month” flavours such as Lemon Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, and White Chocolate and Strawberry.

In January 2014 I started working at Polesden Lacey National Trust house for 2 hours a week. Now I work there all day making scones and sandwiches.

On Thursdays, I work at the Christian Centre Café in Dorking. I serve customers with teas, coffees and homemade cakes, and help to wash up afterwards. After work I walk independently to The Grange shop in Dorking. When I’m at The Grange shop ‘Inspirations’ in Dorking, I serve customers and make items to sell.

I am part of the Freewheelers theatre group in Leatherhead. I am a Makaton motivator, and enjoy personal fitness training with my friend Tara.

I love being at The Grange!
