opzioni digitali le iene Many people do not recognise that they have skills in arts and crafts but we believe everyone is creative in some way. It’s just a question of finding out what that is!
Our professional tutors are trained to help you find what you’re good at. We cover machine embroidered designs, canvas work cushions, hand quilted covers, weaving, framed paintings and rugs.
Other creative projects include knitting, tapestry, hand dyeing and felting. We like to work with a range of inspiring colours and materials.
Besides traditional skills, we’ve also branched out into digital photography and graphic design and we’re exploring designs for packaging, cards and wrapping paper.
You can work individually or as part of a team on a project. All projects encourage imagination and originality, and we use photography and technology as tools to help us create.

Besides improving your creative skills, you’ll also build on your literacy and numeracy skills, learn how to get organised and be punctual, work in a team and use IT – all important skills than can be used in the workplace. You can work towards accredited courses in ASDAN Towards Independence.
The creative arts get us out into the local community. We took part in the Disability Arts in Surrey (DAISY) festival last year where we yarn bombed 23 trees and park benches with glorious colourful knitting.
We’re members of Surrey Artists Open Studios and we take part in Mole Valley Arts Alive, National Doodle Day, Art for Autism and Age UK’s Big Knit.
We also host the Big Draw (see photo) where we invite local schools and groups to join us for some artistic fun.
Many of the craft items we make in Creative Arts & Textiles sessions are sold in our shop Grange@No5 and online. You can also learn retail skills here and train on computerised sewing machines making cards and personalised embroidery on clothing to order.
