Supported Living Offsite

Ali-in-Co-op-fruitIndependent living with support

If you are keen to live independently in your own flat or bedsit, but need some support, our Supported Living Offsite service can help you.

The Grange owns 13 small properties in Bookham village and we can also provide care packages for non-Grange properties, owned privately or by other housing associations.

Grange staff from the offsite service will visit you depending on your needs. This can vary from weekly for some people to 20 hours a week for others and we are always just a call away in an emergency. We can help you organise day-to-day activities, such as:

  • Appointments
  • Confidence building
  • Letters, bills and banking
  • Shopping and meal planning

Many people who live offsite at The Grange come in to the Main House on a day basis to take part in skills sessions such as creative arts, horticulture, catering, etc.

Work experience

Jodie-at-SABP-NHS-office-640x425We encourage everyone at The Grange to try a work experience placement and look for paid work where appropriate.

We have a dedicated Work Experience Co ordinator and together we give you all the support you need to get the most from your work experience. You could go on to get a paid job.

Old Habits is a favourite place to meet for people who live in our Offsite service.

Businesses and shops in the local community are very helpful and welcoming.
