Valuing the Support of Volunteers

Volunteers are needed throughout The Grange.

If your answer is YES to the following questions, read on!

• Do you have time to spare on a regular basis?
• Would you like to help adults with disabilities achieve independence?
• Are you looking for work experience to enhance your employment opportunities?

We welcome volunteer support in the following areas:

• Textiles - Dressmaking, Embroidery and Crafts
• Life Skills - Literacy, Cookery, Computers
• Horticulture - Gardening, Greenhouses, Sales
• Social support - Driving and Catering
• Fundraising, Publicity and Office Administration
• One to one - Reading, Writing, Social Activities
• Transport - To and from The Grange or work

How we can help you

• Volunteers are offered travelling expenses and appropriate training.
• The Volunteers Co-ordinator provides continuing support for all volunteers, ensuring that volunteering remains a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
• The Grange staff provide supervision and guidance for each volunteer. No previous experience is necessary, just a keen interest!
• Volunteering is the ideal opportunity to gain useful work experience in your field of interest, whether horticulture, crafts and textiles or social care
• The Grange is an attractive setting for volunteer work with a historic house, extensive grounds, a Victorian walled garden and elegant conservatory plus a friendly team of staff and clients!
