The smiles in the photos say it all – Stonegate Foundation Community Fund just made our 80th anniversary year with an amazing £35K donation.
The Stonegate Foundation Community Fund was set up by the Dorking-based property developer, Stonegate Homes. The Fund was launched at a ball at Loseley House in May which people we support attended. Money raised at the event formed the basis for the Community Fund.
Jerry Hinds, (pictured left) is a trustee of the new charity:
‘We aim to help good causes in the areas where we operate and also live,’ he says. ‘We are absolutely thrilled to be able to support such a wonderful charity and we look forward to working together in the future. The new Stonegate Foundation Community Fund is aimed at supporting those who are disadvantaged in the Dorking and Mole Valley area. We want to be successful and profitable but we also want to be a positive influence in the community.’
Says our Chief Executive, Eloise Appleby, ‘donations like this help to provide new opportunities at a time when public funding is under pressure. This is a delightful way to round off our action-packed 80th anniversary year.’
