Job title: Cleaner

Hours: 27 per week (1 day x 7 hours, and 4 days x 5 hours)

Accountable to: Cleaning and Grounds Supervisor

About the role

To operate as part of a small team, maintaining a cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, periodically, etc.) for Grange properties to a high standard of cleanliness. The job will share sites on rotation.

Main duties will include:

  • Vacuuming of rooms and corridors
  • Emptying all waste bins
  • Cleaning glass and mirrors
  • Dusting and washing down of all appropriate areas
  • Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
  • Cleaning bathrooms and toilets and restocking toiletries

Skills, qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Flexible
  • Good team worker
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Cleaning experience in an office or accommodation environment
  • Attention to detail (with regards to cleanliness)
  • Thorough and efficient at getting tasks done in the required timescale
  • Ability to complete paperwork

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning
