#LDWeek22 is all about making sure the world knows more about what it’s like to have a #learningdisability and in particular connecting with the community. So what better timing than now, for pupils from Howard of Effingham to be connecting with the people we support. Over the last few weeks we have been getting to know a selection of Howard pupils and they with us, through workshops held by IMM-Music This week kicked off with us all enthusiastically getting involved with the singing – especially Yves who loved standing up every time his birthday month was called out – we all now know it is in December! Then everyone was presented with at least one message of hope and encouragement from the Howard pupils to The Grange individuals. These brought joy to our people especially Lauren, when she discovered she had a love of Disney and shiny pink trainers in common and Josh who was told how cool he was with his drum playing! It looked like the pupils would cherish the effort that had gone into their reciprocal messages too and that the community was indeed connecting!
