We’re looking for a tech savvy person to support the Marketing and Communications team with internal and external communications and  promotion of the Grange and its services (Housing & accommodation, Residential care service, Supported Living and Day Services, Fundraising and PR, Recruitment as well as products made by people at The Grange).  

You will be responsible for updating and creating content on the website, helping to improve SEO, distributing e-newsletters, managing our social media channels and overseeing our Google Adwords and Analytics.

The post holder will need to be competent yet creative with a passion to help people with disabilities. Empathy and excellent communication skills are vital and you must be able to work well as part of a team. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly but fast-moving team in a lovely environment in Bookham. Salary circa £24k pro rata.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Team with all internal and external communications and publicity in order to achieve the desired objectives for the organisation;
  • Promote our calendar of events in relation to fundraising and marketing;
  • Make website updates as directed by the Manager
  • Operate The Grange’s social media activities making use of apps such as TweetDeck and support our shops, cafes and mini businesses with their social media activity
  • Take photographs and or short videos for social media purposes

Essential skills:

  • Attention to detail/proof reading skills
  • Confident user of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Knowledge of Tweetdeck/Hootsuite
  • Proficient in PhotoShop, Mailchimp
  • Experience/knowledge of Google AdWords and Google Analytics
  • Some experience in video editing (Movie Maker or iMovie) preferable
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels and as part of a team, reflecting the values of The Grange – Friendly, Open, Respectful, Caring and Empowering
