Today is the National Lottery Heritage Fund #HeritageTreasures day, and do we have some treasures to show you! ✨🤓
As you may know, The Grange initially started out as The School of Stitchery and Lace providing disabled women with training in needlework and lace making! The fancy frocks and delicate lace that trainees made were highly sought after by many famous customers – including Queen Mary of Teck! Our Heritage Lottery funded Heritage Room contains 100s of letters to and from the Royal household detailing Her Majesty’s specific requests for each order! 😱
We can’t wait to show you all these treasures when we re-open to the public again! Until then, here’s a sneak peek!
