Members of the Mole Valley Runners jogged by The Grange Centre for People with Learning Disabilities for tea and cake and presented the charity with a cheque for £610.
The 80-strong running and walking group raised the funds by raffling a London Marathon pass and other prizes such as physio, beauty and pilates sessions.
‘We choose a charity to support every year,’ says chairman and running coach, Debbie Watts. ‘We’re not just about elite running, we love helping people in the community whether it’s to lose weight, walk more or for mental health.’
There are runs for all levels of physical ability and for mental health recovery on Bookham Common, Polesden Lacey, Ashtead, Downside and Dorking. Everyone welcome. Find out more @molevalleyfitness and @molevalley runners.
