We are looking for a person with some experience in social care work with good administration skills to provide wakeful night duty cover in our friendly 16-person Residential Care centre. This is a dual role combining administration work and providing any physical, emotional and social care needed by people we support. Training will be provided. The role is part-time, two nights a week, from 9.30pm - 8.30am. £8.92-£9.45 per hour depending on experience.

 Administration role 

You will need to:

  • Update files relating to all the people we support, for example, daily records, monitoring of records and incident/accident reports 
  • Be aware of and familiar with the Care Quality Commission for Social Care Inspectors, its role and the fundamental standards and regulations (training given)

 Support role 

  • Respect the personal wishes, choices, space and possessions and have due regard to privacy and individuality of the people we support.
  • Assist people we support with their personal care where appropriate.
  • Assist people we support in preparation for bed and waking in the morning as required.
  • Carry out regular checks around the Service ensuring that doors and windows are secure at all times.
  • Carry out regular fire checks.
  • Administer medication where appropriate, in line with the Service Care medication policy
