Rosie’s Posies’ initially started with Rosie having a passion for flower arranging and loving seeing the arrangements come together with different flowers and grasses. This became increasingly popular with the people we support and along came ‘Rosie’s Posies’’.
Every Tuesday they walk up to the local co-op, whom have kindly donated a bunch of flowers each week to help towards this project, and pick out a fresh bunch of flowers. Back at The Grange with guidance from the support workers, they arrange them in different vases, adding leave and grasses until their artistic eye is satisfied.
Simply Scones is an event in which our catering department showcase their skills in making and serving scones and beverages, this takes place on a Tuesday afternoon. In order to create a joyful atmosphere, Rosie’s Posies’ use their flowers to add a colourful decoration to the tables.
Taking part in Rosie’s Posies’ allows the girls to interact with each other, creating bonds and putting their skills into practice. This can be particularly challenging for people with disabilities, but we have seen their confidence grow greatly.
