Cookery and Catering are very popular activities at The Grange as they offer you so much choice – from learning to cook your own lunch to catering for groups of 20!
Here you’ll learn professional catering skills, including food hygiene, batch cooking, menu planning and food presentation.
You’ll work in a team and there’s always something different to do. You might cater for a group of visitors or an event. You could bake scones for our renown Simply Scones tea room, fulfill bespoke cake orders for birthdays or make jam and chutney from produce grown in our garden to sell in our shop or via our website.
Simply Scones and Cuppa and Cake
Try out your catering skills at the Simply Scones tearoom, which takes place at The Grange every Tuesday afternoon. You’ll make the jam, bake the scones, take customer orders and serve tables. Grange scones are famous locally and we’re always trying out new flavours.
Cuppa and Cake takes place on a Friday morning and is also in our Edwardian Conservatory and open to the public. Again as part of the Catering Team you will be making the cakes and serving our customers.
