The beautiful Walled Garden is a major feature of The Grange and provides a calm and tranquil setting for 50+ people we support to learn horticulture skills. You can work on your own plot in the Walled Garden or in our polytunnel. A team of volunteers help our tutors so that everyone can get the most out the sessions. We sell what we produce and you can get invoved with the Walled Garden Shop serving customers or working on stalls at markets and fairs.
You can also take an ASDAN accredited course with us and some people have gone on to work in nurseries. New this year was the ‘Grange Flower Show’, a truly professional country show with people we support entering produce into categories such as best ‘flowers in a boot’ and ‘largest marrow’. In the winter months we work indoors planning next year's planting and making craft items.
Every week a small team pack their tools into 'Bluebelle', the trusty horticulture van, and go off to do gardening for other charities or churches in the community.
