In Supported Living you have your own tenancy for your flat or bedsit. You are encouraged to make your own decisions about things that impact your life rather than have others decide for you.

Our goal is to help you develop your skills so that you can live in your own home with as much independence as possible.

We offer a range of over 70 flats and bedsits with different care packages on our beautiful site in Bookham or offsite in the local area. Our support staff will help with day-to-day living skills and your key worker will help you set and achieve your personal goals – it might be ‘cook my own lunch’ or ‘learn to use the bus’.

The special thing about Supported Living is that we have so many resources all on one site. We have experts in literacy and communication, travel training and life skills, there’s a therapy pool and a health and fitness programme, sessions on relationships, looking after yourself and other life issues – you name it!

Skills & Activities sessions and work experience

“I like living here. I want to go out more so I’m learning about money and shopping and about crossing the road.

You can take part in a wide ranging programme of skills training or we’ll help you go offsite to other activities such as drama, riding, dance or art clubs. You might find yourself involved in a Grange mini business or trying a work experience placement.

Communication skills

Good communication is vital for your progress. We are a Makaton Centre of Excellence and have seen many people with little speech develop and communicate more.

Sport and social life

The Grange is a friendly place with lots of activities and social life – from golf, boccia, drumming and trampolining to cycling, regular visits to a local sports club, holidays and concerts. Every year we hold the ‘Grange Has Got Talent’ show!
