We are looking for a person with some experience in social care work with good administration skills to provide wakeful night duty cover in our friendly 16-person Residential Care centre. This is a dual role combining administration work and providing any physical, emotional and social care needed by people we support. Training will be provided. The role is full time working 37 hours per week averaged over 2 weeks, from 9.30pm - 8.00am. £8.92-£9.45 per hour depending on experience.

 Administration role 

You will need to:

  • Update files relating to all the people we support, for example, daily records, monitoring of records and incident/accident reports 
  • Be aware of and familiar with the Care Quality Commission for Social Care Inspectors, its role and the fundamental standards and regulations (training given)

 Support role 

  • Respect the personal wishes, choices, space and possessions and have due regard to privacy and individuality of the people we support.
  • Assist people we support with their personal care where appropriate.
  • Assist people we support in preparation for bed and waking in the morning as required.
  • Carry out regular checks around the Service ensuring that doors and windows are secure at all times.
  • Carry out regular fire checks.
  • Administer medication where appropriate, in line with the Service Care medication policy
